Surry County Tourism Announces the Winners of the Six Weeks of Summer Outdoor Photography Challenge

On July 5, 2020, Surry County Tourism launched the Six Weeks of Summer Outdoor Photography Challenge. Area photographers were encouraged to be creative and capture outdoor images of Surry County at her beautiful best! Eleven very talented photographers submitted a total of 109 photographs. Special thanks goes to the judges for the contest: Judy Lyttle (Surry County BOS Member), Stanley Jones, III (Director, Surry County Parks and Recreation and photographer) and Greg Schaale (Greg Schaale Design). Our heartfelt congratulations to the winners of the challenge:

First Place winner in the Adult Category, Jennifer Knecht of Surry, will receive a prize with a value of $100:

Photographers were solicited through the County and Tourism websites, as well as through County and local social media platforms. The challenge ran from July 5th through August 15th.
