Celebrate 100 Years of Motorized Ferry Service by the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry

Grounds are open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Surry County Historical Society, 281 Bank St., Surry, VA.

Festivities include antique cars from the Colonial Virginia Model A Ford Club, live music by the Virginia Mountain Boys, history of the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry System as told by Sam Edwards, III, tours of the Captain John Smith Deckhouse and Historical Society Museum, recognition of ferry workers, and food vendors (cash sales only). Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets!
