For centuries children in Virginia have played with corn husk dolls. These dolls were a creative outlet for play made from the waste of a crop essential to their survival. Learn how to make this ancient craft at the Quayle Classroom in the Farm and Forestry Museum from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the class, spend some time exploring the museum, have a picnic lunch, and visit with the barnyard animals.
Then, join Park Staff from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM to learn about and engage in games children have played throughout Virginia's history. Appropriate for families and children of all ages.
