First, Celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday, June 4, 2022 along the historic trails of Chippokes State Park. Discover how trees support wildlife in life and in death. Try to find clues about the forest's past events by reading the landscape. Meet at Farm and Forestry Museum parking lot; program begins at 10:00 AM and ends upon your return at 11:00 AM. Hike is approximately 0.6 miles in each direction.
After your hike, you'll want to stroll through the Farm and Forestry Museum, get to know the barnyard animals, and enjoy a picnic lunch at the Park. Then, ride back down to the Visitor
Center and participate in Clean the Bay Day from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Park staff will provide you with instructions and supplies as you help with beach cleanup.
$7.00 per vehicle parking fee applies; no additional fee for programming. Family-friendly!
