Celebrate Virginia State Parks History and Culture Day on Saturday, June 18, 2022 by taking a tram ride down the historical Quarter Lane. Join a ranger to learn about the history from the mid-1820s through the 1920s, and discover what the existing buildings tell us about the people who lived and worked on the farm. Farm owners, enslaved peoples, sharecroppers, and tenant farmers all occupied the many buildings between the River House and the Historic Jones-Stewart Mansion. Program begins at the Chippokes Campground at 1:00 PM and ends at 2:00 PM.
