After a two-year hiatus due to health concerns related to large gatherings, the Annual Nottoway Tribal Powwow is back!
Come celebrate with the Nottoway Indian Tribe of Virginia. This exciting two-day premier event includes intertribal dancing, native drumming, food and craft vendors, storytelling, educational exhibits, and services for the community. This year the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts' mobile "artmobile" will be onsite - at no additional charge to guests!
Drum circles Yapatoko and White Buffalo Singers will accompany the dynamic dancers led by Louis Campbell, Lead Male Dancer, and Adrienne Harmon, Lead Female Dancer. Gates open at 10:00 AM both days with Grand Entry at 12:00 PM on Saturday and 1:00 PM on Sunday. This two-day event is great fun for the whole family.
The event is held at the Surry County Community Center, 205 Enos Farm Drive, Surry, VA 23883
